TCS hiring process

TCS, India's largest IT employer, hires freshers through the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) under three tracks: Ninja, Digital, and Prime. The process combines a two-part online assessment (Foundation aptitude + Advanced quant/reasoning/coding) with technical, managerial and HR interviews, and has no negative marking. TCS plans 40,000+ fresher hires for FY26.

   Registration

   Apply on TCS NextStep/iON portal, get DT reference number and pick test mode

   NQT Foundation

   Online aptitude test: Numerical, Verbal and Reasoning ability

3. 3

   NQT Advanced

   Advanced Quant/Reasoning plus hands-on coding; mandatory for Digital/Prime

4. 4

   Technical Interview

   Core CS, programming, projects and problem-solving

5. 5

   Managerial + HR Interview

   Situational/role fit, then communication, fitment and offer

   Offer

   Mapped to Ninja, Digital or Prime track with offer letter
